Summer Party 2025

2025
Long Serving Coordinator Steps Down
Sandy was presented with an engraved crystal vase, flowers and a voucher, as a ‘Big Thank You’ for her dedication, hard work, passion and expertise over the years to ensure that all our client’s welfare was considered and volunteers were supported in their roles. She had expanded the client base along with volunteers, held events in her garden and organised many others. Her dedication to Didcot Good Neighbours over the years was truly amazing, along with her husband Ken who supported her throughout.

Sandy Nominated for Award
Congratulations to Sandy, our Organisation Coordinator, for being recognized for the volunteer work that she does and for being accepted as a nominee for the 2023 volunteer of the year award by Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action Group. Thank you, Sandy, for keeping us afloat with all your hard work and dedication over many years, ensuring the smooth running of the Didcot Good Neighbour Scheme.

Volunteer Evening June 2023
We held our latest Volunteer's evening in the Fleur de Lys.

Christmas Party 2022
We held our Christmas Party in the Civic Hall, with a great turn out of clients and volunteers.
Long Service Volunteer Retires
We were sorry to say goodbye to Mavis, one of our longest serving volunteers, who has decided to retire from being a DGNS volunteer. Mavis, along with her husband Michael, has been with us since we started in 2011 and has taken on some challenging clients over the years. Sandy and Alice presented Mavis with a lovely engraved ornament to thank her for all her work.

We wish both Mavis and Michael a very happy retirement.

Christmas Party 2019
This year we moved our Christmas Party to the Civic Hall.

Fun was had by all, and thanks to all our amazing volunteers.
